YouTube TV is the most straightforward option for live TV streaming. That’s because there’s only one tier of YouTube TV channels to choose from, and the perks are relatively straightforward: Each household can create up to six accounts, and each of those accounts receives unlimited cloud DVR, so you can record any show or game to watch later.

Cost: $40 per month
Devices: Google Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Xbox One, iOS and Android devices
Simply put, YouTube TV is one of the best ways to stream live sports. Unsurprisingly, given its high-profile sponsorship of the World Series, its 70-plus channel lineup is stacked with sports options of every stripe, from obvious essentials (ESPN, FS1, MLB Network, NBA TV) to college sports networks (SEC Network, Big Ten Network), and three channels devoted to MLS teams. Overkill? Maybe, but we’re not complaining. (To get a better sense of how YouTube TV stacks up to the competition, check out these lists of PlayStation Vue channels and DirecTV Now channels.)

One issue you might run into with YouTube TV is finding a way to use it. YouTube TV is not available via Amazon Fire Stick or Fire TV, and you won’t be able to use your PS4 either. On the plus side, you can stream on up to three devices simultaneously.
As with any streaming service, some networks might not be available in your area, and local sports games are still subject to regional blackouts.
