When the fastest growing YouTube kids channel in Russia “Vlad Crazy Show” exceeded 1 billion views per month, YouTube removed it. The reason for it? The channel was violating YouTube community guidelines by advocating the love for fast food to their young audience via unusual videos.
Many other channels suffered the same fate, last week the same story happened in the US. The “Toy Freaks” channel which enjoyed a merely 8.5 billion subscribers was shut down! The channel featured many pranks videos involving children in odd and upsetting situations.
Does this mean that YouTube puts children's content in the same category together with porn and brutality? To give you an idea of the scale of this new regulation, Kedoo conducted a search using our main Analytics data tool , and identified all the channels that probably came under the YouTube audit.
